Are you still there?

Just a few more things to show you!

Just a quicky. The stamping didn't come out perfectly, and normally I wouldn't settle for that, but somehow I liked the effect on these feathers. They are from the Funky Feathers set from Waltzing Mouse stamps. I'll be getting this set out again soon. Also used it to create a background for my younger son's birthday card.

The greeting on the card is also from Waltzing Mouse, a set called Compact Sentiments. I used two greetings here and masked the words that I didn't want to create the sentiment that I wanted.

Then I have to admit that I got sidetracked by those Russian Dollies again!!

And here they are again, all neat and tidy!!

Update part 2!

So yesterday morning I broke out the ink and stamps after a very long dry spell, and found that I had got the crafting bug back, and some new found mojo too!

Another new stamp set which was still in it's wrapper was another Waltzing Mouse set You're a Doll.

I really love those little Russian dollies!!!

Got the bargain twine out again, and used some of the American crafts paper which I had bought at TKMaxx a few weeks ago too. I coloured in the fabulous little dolly with my trusty ProMarkers and the few Copics that I have (just the flesh ones).

Then, truth be told I got a little carried away!

Don't know who's going to get this card yet, but it has the bonus of being a bookmark too! The front section will come off cleanly.

Added a crochet flower and lead that I made last summer holiday to this one as it happened to match the main ink colour perfectly!

Oops, haven't been here for a while!!!

OK, so where have I been?

Well, working and looking after the family, house, dog etc.

Now it's the summer holidays and I finally get a chance to do some of the crafty things that I've been waiting to do.

So I started off gently with some Thank you cards for the kids at school who were nice enough to give me a gift at the end of the year.

These were stamped using a handy little set from Waltzing mouse stamps called Charm Squares. Next time I'm going to use lots of embossing powder and make shiny buttons....but for now I was just warming up!

OK, so I was getting back in the groove... and I remembered the fantastic bargain Bakers Twine pack that I bought in TKMaxx...every card need twine, right?
